FitCity offers funding for collaborative, healthy programs
FitCity recently announced a new pilot funding program to provide up to five (5) four-year grants of $40,000 or less ($10,000 per year maximum) to educate high-risk youth ages 12 to 17 and their caregivers about issues of nutrition and/or physical activity.
Funding will be awarded for programs in Marion and the seven surrounding counties that provide awareness and motivation for good nutrition and physical fitness. FitCity will give priority to programs that collaborate within the community to reach high-risk audiences in new ways, at new locations or to increase capacity. A second year of funds will be available in early 2008.
If you are interested in submitting a funding proposal, please review the
application packet and guidelines and call (317) 536-1216 for more information.
